Job Overview
Site Resource Group (SRG) is seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist to support major industrial construction, maintenance, turnaround, and capital projects throughout Western Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for Primavera P6 scheduling, cost control, forecasting, progress measurement, earned value management, change management, and month-end reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update Primavera P6 Level 3, 4, and 5 schedules.
- Create resource-loaded schedules, manpower forecasts, and critical path analyses.
- Perform schedule forecasting, risk assessments, and recovery planning.
- Track project budgets, commitments, accruals, actual costs, EAC, and FAC.
- Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly project controls reports.
- Develop and report SPI, CPI, productivity, and earned value metrics.
- Produce progress curves, manpower histograms, dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Support month-end reporting, forecasting, and stewardship reviews.
- Manage change notices, change proposals, trend logs, and change registers.
- Work closely with Operations, Construction, and Project Management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of advanced Primavera P6 experience.
- Minimum 7 years of Project Controls experience in industrial construction.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and earned value management.
- Experience supporting oil & gas, SAGD, mining, utilities, infrastructure, or major industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of EVM, SPI/CPI reporting, FAC/EAC forecasting, and contractor month-end reporting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, SAP, Microsoft Project, and related project controls software.
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, including cannabis
