Full job description

We are in search of a highly skilled and meticulous Project Coordinator to become a part of our team. In this position, you will take charge of supporting the Project Managers in overseeing residential single family and multi-unit construction projects. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the progress of homes, assisting clients with house selections, and handling necessary paperwork. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing project specifications and generating precise cost estimates, thereby ensuring the profitability and triumph of our construction ventures.

Responsibilities:

  • Review project blueprints, plans, and specifications to comprehend the project scope
  • Perform quantity take-offs and compile detailed estimates for materials, labor, and equipment costs
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information for accurate estimating
  • Utilize construction management software for organizing and tracking project data (on the job training available)
  • Develop bid proposals and present estimates to clients
  • Assess subcontractor bids and engage in price negotiations as required
  • Monitor project expenses throughout construction and make adjustments when necessary
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, materials, and labor costs

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role within the construction sector (minimum 2 years of direct experience)
  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering or 5 years of hands-on experience in Construction is required (Journeyperson Carpenter for example)
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting schematics
  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies
  • Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and subcontractors
