Summary

Playing a lead role in (a) ensuring that our customers’ needs and expectations are understood internally and (b) ensuring that Artaflex Inc. meets or exceeds those expectations.

This will typically involved in:

  • Driving the order fulfilment process. This requires synchronization between the customer and various internal functions (procurement, manufacturing operations, logistics etc).
  • Providing collaborative support to Sales and Business Development for new and competitive business quotes for manufacturing, repair and or design services. Also takes lead in preparing quotations for existing programs.
  • Overseeing New product introduction
  • Finding and deploying new solutions to various challenges
  • Monitoring financial performance of portfolio and managing customer satisfaction.

Major Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the primary interface between the customer and the company for managing specific programs to achieve planned objectives.
  • Works with the site teams to plan and monitor activities to ensure that product deliveries and quality meet requirements and that projects/programs are on schedule.
  • Can be required to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires and in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Incumbent will have a high level of autonomy afforded to him/her to ensure that he/she delivers on defined goals.
  • Incumbent influences others outside of team to ensure goals are met and resolves conflicts in an effective manner.
  • Interacts with and influences management and/or customers on significant issues.
  • Coordinates and hosts regular (as needed) program tracking meetings with the customer and internal account team members to ensure ongoing communication and up-to-date progress/status reporting occurs.
  • Monitors plans to meet commitments and schedules for customers.
  • Coordinates action plans with the sites to correct out-of-plan conditions.
  • Manages current and planned programs to achieve planned revenue. Participates in forecasting and planning and monitoring of efficiency and execution of account strategies.
  • Communicates frequently with customers to help ensure satisfaction with the company and the products. Acts as a customer advocate to drive prioritization of projects and responses to problems/issues.
  • Monitors the impact on inventory of order changes and establishes procedures and charges to the customers.
  • Provides performance reporting and analysis for monthly Operations Reviews and quarterly Customer Performance Reviews.
  • Makes complex decisions affecting work in and outside of own area, advising reporting manager of the action taken, refers more complex and sensitive decisions to reporting manager

SKILLS

  • At least 2 years Program Management or Project management experience is required.
  • Degree in commerce or engineering field is required.
  • Excellent customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Good presentation, database management and computer skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, detailed projects to a successful end while working under tight time deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Strong knowledge of the manufacturing process, schedules and scheduling requirements, and SCM.
  • In-depth knowledge of the business issues associated with manufacturing PCBs, Cabling or Electro-Mechanical assemblies
  • Strong knowledge of product pricing, contracts and contract negotiations.
  • Thorough understanding of business risks and price make up ( Value add and Materials )
  • Works on assignments and resolves problems that are highly complex in nature by providing analysis/interpretation of the situation/data and reviewing relevant factors to determine an appropriate solution, applying judgment accordingly
