Canadian Executive Search Group is looking to hire a Production Supervisor for a local automotive manufacturing facility in Chatham-Kent, ON


Location: Chatham-Kent, On (not on a bus route)

Role: Production Supervisor

Role Type: Temporary to Permanent

Schedule: Monday - Friday (Must be able to work all three Shifts)

Start Date: Immediate

Wage: $60,000 - $70,000

Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in the manufacturing area, ensuring effective team management, operational efficiency, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.

Team Leadership and Development:
  • Directly manage a team of manufacturing technicians and operators, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and performance discussions, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
  • Develop team members through targeted training programs and career development opportunities.

Operational Management:
  • Oversee production processes to ensure timely execution and quality compliance's
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement in efficiency and output.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and meet production targets.

Safety and Compliance:
  • Uphold all company safety protocols, conducting regular safety training and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Implement preventative measures to maintain a safe working environment.

Process Improvement:
  • Champion initiatives aimed at process optimization, waste reduction, and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control team to uphold product standards and address any quality issues.
  • Encourage a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation within the team.

Qualifications
  • OSSD Graduate
  • 5+ years experience in automotive manufacturing
  • Union experience
  • Clean criminal background
  • Reliable transportation (not on a bus route
  • Must have the ability to work all shifts Day's/Afternoon's/Midnights
  • Ability to lift 50+ Lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
