Primrose Livestock is a Cattle Broker located in Southern Alberta serving Alberta, Saskatchewan, and B.C. Whether buying or selling, the professionals at Primrose Livestock are here to help facilitate the transaction with honesty, integrity and confidentiality.

We are looking for a new team member in the role of:

Livestock Cost & Inventory Analyst

*Accounting Acumen Required

This integral role handles the documentation regarding the Purchase, Sale, & Inventory Control of All Owned and Brokered Cattle.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer the Documentation for the Purchase and Sale of Cattle
  • Maintain and Record Inventory Movement
  • Analysis and Projections for Transactions
  • Maintain Processing Records
  • Review, Verify and Maintain Feed Bills
  • Communicate with both Customers and Vendors
  • Various Administrative Duties, as required

Requirements:

  • Background in Accounting
  • Certificate or Diploma in an Accounting Related Field an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong Understanding of Mathematical Equations with an ability to Accurately Calculate Transactions
  • Customer Service Focused with Excellent Communication Skills
  • Keen Eye for Detail with Strong Follow Through
  • Positive and Willing Attitude with a Desire to Learn and Grow
  • Self-Directed and Organized; with a Focus on Efficiency
  • Ability to Manage Constantly Changing Priorities
  • Experience in the Cattle Industry an Asset
  • Strong Desire for Long-Term Employment

We Offer:

  • $65,000 - $75,000 Annually
  • Benefits Package
  • Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week. Additional hours may be required during peak season.
