Assistant Hospital Manager

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work occasional Saturdays as required.

The Assistant Hospital Manager supports the daily operations of the hospital by working closely with the Hospital Manager and Medical Director. This role helps ensure excellent patient care, outstanding client service, and an engaged, high-performing team while supporting the hospital's financial and operational goals. The Assistant Hospital Manager also partners with the Hospital Manager to support operational initiatives across 3 hospitals in the Saskatchewan region, helping promote consistency, collaboration, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily hospital operations and maintain efficient workflows.

  • Partner with the Hospital Manager and Medical Director to deliver high-quality patient care and client service.

  • Assist the Hospital Manager in supporting operational needs across three Saskatchewan hospitals, including coordinating projects, sharing best practices, and providing leadership coverage as needed.

  • Supervise, coach, and develop team members while fostering a positive workplace culture.

  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.

  • Address client concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Help monitor budgets, inventory, and key performance metrics.

  • Support marketing and community outreach initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading teams in a veterinary or healthcare setting preferred.

  • Strong skills in staff development, client service, and day-to-day operations.

  • Basic knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and business performance.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel between hospital locations as needed.

  • Positive, collaborative leadership style with a commitment to exceptional patient care and client experience.
