Full job description

Tytec is a custom engineering design partner located in Edmonton, Alberta - the heart of Canada's energy resources. We specialize in cost efficiently taking your idea from concept, through design and review, and then supporting that design through construction and start-up. We are a one-stop shop built to guide you along every phase of development.

Job Duties

  • Perform Pipe Stress Analysis and Stress Calculations
  • Preparation and Authentication of Pipe Stress Analysis Reports
  • Ensure accurate equipment selection and design that aligns with specifications and P&IDs
  • Interface with other discipline leads (Civil, Structural, Process, Electrical, etc)
  • Attend project meetings if required
  • Complete project tasks on time and budget

Experience

  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation with APEGA
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pipe stress analysis using AutoPIPE, CAESAR II, and other FEA software
  • A sound knowledge and experience in 3D CAD applications - AutoPlant, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Excel, etc.

Education

Mechanical Engineering Degree
