Jardeg is recruiting Instrument Technician journeyperson to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta for the 2026 Fall Turnaround. Positions start as soon as the beginning of September and going to approximately October, 7th. The shift is working 12 hours per day, on a 6 days on, 1 day off rotation. The hourly base rate is $53.11/hr. Day and night shifts are available. Camp accommodation and charter flights (from the Calgary or Edmonton flight hubs) are provided by the company.


Travel allowance available for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities:

  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.


Position Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal
  • Valid apprenticeship
  • Driver's Abstract
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test and Mask fit
  • CSTS 09 or CSO
  • Confined Space -ESC
  • Fall Protection -ESC
  • AWP - ESC
  • Basic Rigging
