Full job description

Nature of Work:
- Commissioning support and punch list completions, Plant maintenance, water treatment maintenance and repairs, shift coverage at mine site water treatment in Southern
BC
- plant shutdowns, extended work hours
- Field service work using new trucks and equipment

Duties:
- Pump and valve maintenance and repair
- Hoisting and rigging
-Make detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation
- Working closely with welder, millwrights and other tradespeople
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC and fiberglass piping, valves and fittings
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
- Installation of pipe supports on floors, ceilings and walls
- Reading diagrams and P&ID drawings to determine work procedures
- Installing piping and mechanical equipment using hand and power tools
- Inspecting and examining piping and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
- Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
- Operating machine tools to fabricate parts if required
- Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations
- Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
- Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on piping systems and equipment
- Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliance
- Performing other related duties as assigned
- Large diameter PVC and HDPE experience is an asset to this position

Required Education:
- Journeyman Red Seal Pipefitter

Safety Certifications
- Confined Space Entry & Monitor
- Fall Protection/Fall Arrest
- Elevated Work Platform
- WHMIS 2015
- H2S Aware or H2S Alive

- Hoisting & Rigging
- Respirator Fit-Test (full and half-mask)
- First Aid Level C

Job Types: Full-time, Term

Salary: $50.00 per hour
