Summary

We are seeking a Subsea Pilot to join our dynamic team in Canada. Based on the coast, this role is vital for ensuring the safe navigation and operation of marine vessels involved in our subsea projects. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities

The Subsea Pilot (ROV/Plough) is responsible for:

  • Fully understanding the scope of work as instructed by the Subsea Supervisor
  • Piloting ROV / Plough competently with due regard for safety of ship's equipment and subsea assets
  • Participating in all ROV and Plough operations including launch and recovery
  • Performing ROV/plough maintenance as instructed, reporting deficiencies detected regarding equipment
  • Understanding and adhering to the Safety Management System
  • According to position understanding international and national regulations, codes and guidelines, company policies and instructions on emergency duties
  • Implementing HSE plan at the individual level

Qualifications

  • Marine Medical
  • STCW Basic Safety Training / BOSIET
  • Seaman's Book
  • Basic First Aid Experience
  • 5 years experience as a subsea pilot/tech in the cable industry
  • 5 years experience on SMD subsea ploughs and TravOcean ROVJET trenching ROVs
  • 3 years experience on tracked subsea trenchers

Reports to: Subsea Supervisor

Work Location: On the road
