Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication processes, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves working with various tools and equipment to produce high-quality metal components for construction, ductwork, and other manufacturing projects. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge and experience with different welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding, to ensure precision and safety in all tasks.

Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements
  • Operate welding equipment such as MIG and TIG welders to join metal components accurately
  • Use plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble materials
  • Perform rigging tasks to lift and position heavy materials safely using cranes or forklifts
  • Measure materials with calipers and other precision tools to ensure proper dimensions
  • Conduct machining operations as needed for component fitting and finishing
  • Assist in assembly of fabricated parts according to specifications
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols
  • Read schematics and utilize basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG) and fabrication processes in manufacturing or construction environments
  • Mechanical knowledge of machinery, tools, and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
  • Familiarity with rigging, crane operation, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and machining equipment preferred
  • Skilled in using calipers, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
  • Knowledge of ductwork installation and assembly is a plus
  • Experience with forklift operation is desirable but not mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail with good basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
