Designated Driver Teams Needed

-About MyDDride

MyDDride is a professional designated driving service that provides customers with a safe and convenient way to get home in their own vehicle. Our service operates using a two-driver team model consisting of a Client Driver and a Chase Driver. The Client Driver operates the customer's vehicle, while the Chase Driver follows in a separate vehicle and transports the Client Driver between service calls.

We are currently seeking reliable driver teams who preferably live together or in close proximity to one another. A dependable, fuel-efficient vehicle is required for the Chase Driver, and at least one team member must be experienced and comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles.

Position Overview

We are looking for mature, professional, and customer-focused driver teams who are passionate about helping reduce impaired driving throughout the Lower Mainland. Successful candidates will provide a safe alternative to drinking and driving by transporting customers in their own vehicles while delivering exceptional customer service.

This role requires patience, adaptability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to professionalism. Drivers must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where schedules can change quickly and customer needs vary from one call to the next.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members.
  • Travel to various pickup and drop-off locations throughout the service area.
  • Safely transport customers in their own vehicles to their destinations.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company policies at all times.
  • Collect customer payments upon completion of service.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude during all interactions.
  • Remain patient and accommodating when customers require additional time before departure.
  • Be available on standby and ready to respond to service requests.
  • Provide exceptional, unbiased customer service to all clients.
  • Report any issues or concerns to dispatch promptly and professionally.
  • Adapt to last-minute schedule changes and varying customer needs.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence.
  • One team member must be experienced and confident driving manual transmission vehicles.
  • Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, including electric vehicles, trucks, SUVs, sports cars, and luxury vehicles.
  • Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle to be used as the Chase Vehicle.
  • Both team members must be 26 years of age or older.
  • Clean driving record with no major infractions.
  • Clean criminal background check.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse clientele.
  • Smartphone with unlimited texting and a data plan.
  • Ability to send and receive e-Transfers.
  • Comfortable being on-call and handling last-minute schedule changes.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

Compensation

Compensation is based on a percentage of each completed trip rather than an hourly wage.

  • Drivers receive a percentage of trip revenue vs hourly commensation.
  • Customer tips are split equally between team members.
  • Chase Drivers receive a higher percentage of trip revenue to help offset vehicle operating expenses.
  • Average earnings typically range from $22.50 to $25.00 per hour, per driver, depending on trip volume and gratuities.
