Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Optometric Assistant / Frame Stylist to join our team! In this multifaceted role, you will be the welcoming face of our clinic—managing front desk operations, guiding patients through pre-testing, and helping them find and fit the perfect eyewear. If you have a passion for patient care, style, and eye health, we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Billing & Insurance: Verify insurance coverage and process payments with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Pre-Testing & Clinical Support: Perform preliminary testing (pre-testing), prepare exam rooms, and support the optometrist during patient visits.
  • Styling & Dispensing: Assist patients with frame selection and lens options based on their prescription and style preferences; handle frame adjustments, fittings, and eyewear orders.
  • Clinic Operations & Upkeep: Manage inventory for frames and supplies, and share in daily clinic sanitization—keeping exam rooms, frame boards, front desk, and common areas (including restrooms) clean, organized, and fully stocked.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an optical, retail, or medical office setting (optical/eyewear styling experience is a strong asset).
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to pitch in with daily clinic upkeep.
  • Knowledge of basic optical concepts, frame fitting, or eye care terminology is preferred.

Why Join Us?

We offer a supportive, team-oriented environment where you can build hands-on clinical skills, explore retail styling, and directly impact our patients' quality of life every day!
