Full job description

Hiring experienced heavy industrial coaters, painters, and media blasters for local and out of town field work.

PPC provides industrial coatings to the Oil & Gas, Infrastructure & Mining sector. Our installed coatings are 3rd party inspected. Media blasting, painting & coating must be compliant with specification requirements.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Prep work for both blasting & coating including masking and unmasking.
  • Assist with QA/QC inspections.
  • Bristle blasting and media blasting.
  • Touch-up painting.
  • Other various duties that will change on a day to day basis.

Qualification & Skill Requirements

· Minimum 3 years of heavy industrial blasting, painting & coating experience.

· Valid training certificates for CSTS-2020(or equivalent) & WHMIS 2015.

. Valid H2S Alive, Confined Space, Fall Protection, First Aid, & AWP training a definite asset

· Successfully passing pre-access drug and alcohol testing is a condition of employment.

· Candidates must be able to complete physically demanding work (including lifting up to 50 pounds) and be able to pass a health assessment.

· Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.

· Year-round personal transportation is required to/from the shop.

· Red Seal Journeyman Painter certification and/or AMPP Certified Coating Applicator (CCA) is an asset.
