PJS Systems integrates AV technology that makes boardrooms deliver, courtrooms perform, and classrooms come alive. We’re looking for a hands-on, motivated Junior AV Installer to join our team in Burnaby.

AT A GLANCE

Location Burnaby, BC (project travel throughout BC may be required)

Wage $20.00 – $22.00 per hour

Hours Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (occasional evenings/weekends project- specific)

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an entry point into a real career in the AV industry. As a Junior Installer you’ll work directly alongside experienced Lead Technicians, picking up practical skills on live commercial projects every single day. We invest in people who show up, work hard, and want to keep improving.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Rack builds & equipment pre-assembly

◦ Assemble and dress rack systems to a professional finish before they reach the job site

◦ Work from technical drawings and take clear direction from your Lead Technician

Cable runs, termination & labeling

◦ Pull, terminate, and neatly label all cabling to QA/QC standards

◦ Safely use hand and power tools throughout

On-site installations across BC

◦ Assist Lead Techs with commercial AV installs in corporate, education, and courthouse environments

◦ Occasional travel to project sites outside the Lower Mainland

Safety — every day, no exceptions

◦ Participate in daily safety briefings and strictly follow WorkSafeBC standards

◦ Maintain tools properly and flag any field hazards to the Site Lead immediately

WHAT YOU BRING

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving history
• Physical fitness — able to lift 50 lbs and work safely on ladders and at heights
• Eligible to satisfy the requirements for a Canadian government security clearance
• CSA-approved safety boots (required on day one)
• Professional appearance — responsible, well-organized, and personable
• A genuine investment in your own career and continuous learning

Bonus points (not required):

• AVIXA AV CTS or CTS-I certification
• Low voltage certification, WHMIS, aerial lift, or Basic First Aid
