The Opportunity - Bartender, The Barring Steakhouse & Oyster Bar

At The Barrington Steakhouse our team believes in a philosophy that to provide the Barrington experience, it takes a relentless commitment to great steaks, fresh seafood and maritime hospitality coming together to create the ultimate dining experience. In the walls of our restaurant, are talented, dedicated industry professionals, who are committed to their products, guests, and the experience they deliver. They bring passion to the restaurant each day.

The Duties

- Advise guests regarding contents of drinks, cocktails and beer - We want you to share your knowledge on our products

- Take orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and prompt service

- Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages

- Relay menu items and products to provide optimum guest service

- Enforce provincial liquor legislation and regulations

- Clean draft beer system, bar area and glassware

- Provide seamless guest service while ensuring they have a memorable experience by providing timely service with an upbeat and positive personality

- Work alongside of the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere

The Must Haves

- Minimum two years of upscale bartending experience

- Good working knowledge of classic cocktails

- Advanced wine knowledge i.e., strong regional old world wine knowledge

- Positive and outgoing personality

- Love for building strong relationships with team members, our guests and the community

- An open mind - We will be teaching you lots about craft beer, wine and local ingredients in each one of our dishes

- Knowledge of a POS system is an asset

- A desire to have fun at work, when you have fun our guests do too
