Prairie Hospice Society is a community-based, volunteer-led organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life for individuals living with life-limiting illness. Our mandate is to provide compassionate, non-medical support through companionship, respite, transportation, and bereavement services—all at no cost to clients. Our mission is to offer a palliative approach to care that ensures dignity, comfort, and meaningful connection at end of life.

The Position: The Operations, Events & Administrative Assistant is the organizational hub that helps keep Prairie Hospice running smoothly. This position provides administrative, logistical, communications, and event support allowing staff to focus on client care, volunteer support, quality improvement, and community engagement.

This role requires someone who is highly organized, resourceful, and energized by coordinating people, projects, events and daily operations while ensuring the many moving parts of a busy, mission driven organization come together seamlessly.

This position will work closely with the entire team, to ensure daily operations, projects, events and organizational priorities are coordinated efficiently and effectively.

TASKS: Office Administration, Volunteer and Training Support, Events Management, Communications and Organizational Support

Education: Certificate or diploma in office Administration, Business Administration, event management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative or office support role.

· Experience coordinating event or volunteers is considered an asset

· Experience with social media platforms and website content management is an asset

· Experience working in the non-profit sector is an asset.
