Overview

Industrial Rubber Company is a leading provider of industrial rubber products and services to the mining, industrial, and military sectors. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Managerto join our team and play a key role in the daily operations of our business.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple responsibilities, and contributing to the success of a growing company.

Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounting

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial records.
  • General journal entries relating to bank transactions and general ledger account adjustments, etc.
  • Prepare and submit government remittances (HST, payroll deductions, tax instalments, and WCB reports monthly, etc.).
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors as required and prepare monthly reports and financial statements for their review.

Office Administration

  • Manage daily office operations and administrative functions.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to customer and supplier inquiries.
  • Maintain employee records and support payroll processing including employee benefits, record of employment and T4’s
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and other business documents.
  • Support management with various administrative projects.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3 years+ of bookkeeping and office administration experience is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
