Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Integrator - Home Automation and Security to join our team. This role involves wiring, installing, and maintaining advanced home automation systems and security solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver seamless smart home experiences for clients. This position offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects in a dynamic environment, ensuring client satisfaction through expert system integration.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot home automation systems, including lighting, climate control, audio/video, and security devices
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate system setup
- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing systems to optimize performance and reliability
- Utilize hand tools and computer hardware to complete installations efficiently and safely
- Manage low voltage wiring and connections in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
- Conduct system testing, calibration, and programming to meet client specifications
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other trades to ensure timely project completion
Requirements
- Proven experience with computer networking, hardware setup, and troubleshooting in residential or commercial environments
- Mechanical knowledge related to system installation and maintenance processes
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and low voltage systems
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively during installation procedures
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components relevant to home automation systems
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices for electronic systems and mechanical components
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Prior experience working with low voltage wiring is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
