Full job description

Carbon Medical Services Ltd. is hiring Alberta Registered EMR's for work in the Oil and Gas sector.

Carbon Medical is located in Nisku, AB.

Carbon Medical works diligently so that you can work within your scope of practice. All of our stock is up to date and you will not be sent out with expired gear. Carbon has a Medical Director and we have an open door policy with all of our staff. Our General Manager is a registered ACP/FF.

Carbon Medical's Current Opportunities include the following:

  • Competitive rates.
  • Carbon pays travel pay when leaving the Nisku office to go to site, and from site back to Nisku of $15.00/hr to drive. Carbon employees drive Carbon vehicles and use Carbon gas cards to get to site and back to Nisku.
  • Rotations vary, however the usual is two weeks in the field and two weeks off.
  • If working a minimum of 14 days a month, after 3 months and continuously working minimum of 14 days a month, Carbon will pay $75.00/month for Alberta Blue Cross or other health benefits (with receipt being submitted),
  • PPE provided such as hard hat, safety glasses, Carbon shirts, Carbon coveralls and in the winter Carbon winter jacket.
  • Shifts are typically 12 hours.
  • Carbon has Work hub which will allow you to view all of our policies and procedures. Carbon is also utilizing tablets, so it makes paperwork 95% paperless with tablets on every site. Carbon also has Starlinks and tablets in all of our vehicles, so you always have internet.

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Current registration with ACoP as an EMR,
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (Drivers abstract within the last 30 days will have to be submitted),
  • H2S Alive certification as well as Common Safety Orientation,
  • May require Pipeline Safety Construction (PCST) certificate,
  • Must have steel toe boots,
  • Ability to work out of town away from home for at least 14 days,
  • Must maintain a 90% on Work hub within 30 days of hire,
  • Alignment with our values of expertise, passion, respect and care.

Preference for:

  • Experience in an industrial setting,
  • Ability to work alone,
  • Work in a more isolated setting,
  • Communicate information to the office,
  • Maintain integrity as well as follow all of Carbon's policies and procedures as well as the clients.

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $25.00-$37.50 per hour
