Food Manufacturing Production Worker

Employer: Nova Scotia Organics

Location: 2769 Lawrencetown Road, Lawrencetown B2Z 1L3 (HRM)

Terms of Employment: Monday to Friday (8:30am – 5:00pm)

Start date: As soon as possible

We are looking for a Food Manufacturing Production Worker to join our team.

Duties:

  • Follow production procedures (picking inventory, weighing ingredients, following instructions, quality testing, filling out documents.)
  • Safely set up, operate and clean production equipment.
  • Package finished supplements according to specified guidelines.
  • Apply accurate labels to products, including batch numbers, expiration dates, and other required information.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized production area and warehouse, and assist in office cleaning.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production, inventory, and any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge of supplement production processes.
  • Other duties, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail in packaging and labeling processes.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety protocols.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation (not on bus route) and ready show up and work scheduled shifts.
  • Basic math skills, follow written instructions and attention to details.
  • Ability to lift 20kgs.

Salary: $18/hr and negotiable
