Northplex Ltd. is a modular home builder based in Barrhead, AB, serving customers across Western Canada. We manufacture high-quality, stylish modular homes in our 160,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility, allowing our team to work year-round in a safe and comfortable environment.

Production Team Members – All Trades (Modular Home Manufacturing)

Position Overview

Northplex Ltd. is seeking Production Team Members from all skilled trades to join our growing modular home manufacturing team in Barrhead, Alberta.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in quality workmanship, precision, and teamwork. This role is ideal for tradespeople who enjoy working in a structured, fast-paced indoor production environment where homes are built in a controlled facility setting.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday, on-site position, with consistent overtime opportunities available.

Key Trade Areas We Welcome

We are hiring across multiple skilled trades, including (but not limited to):

  • Carpentry (framing, finishing, cabinet installation)
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Drywall / boarding / taping
  • Flooring installation
  • Exterior finishing (siding, trim)
  • Roofing
  • Shipping & Receiving

What You’ll Do

  • Work as part of a production team building modular homes from start to finish
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Perform skilled trade tasks within your area of expertise
  • Collaborate with other trades to ensure smooth production flow
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and accuracy
  • Use hand and power tools relevant to your trade
  • Support continuous improvement in build processes and efficiency

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of construction or trade experience preferred (Red Seal or apprenticeship training considered an asset)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (preferred)
  • Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail
  • Ability to problem-solve independently and within a team environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, assembly-style production setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and modular construction methods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • High level of reliability and work ethic
