Full job description

FAIRVIEW INVESTMENTS LIMITED is an established contractor / developer. We are currently accepting applications for Asphalt Rakers for the 2026 construction season.

This contract will be each year from May to December.

The role of an Asphalt Raker is to rake and level freshly poured asphalt to ensure it is even and properly compacted for a smooth surface. This job involves a variety of tasks, such as removing excess asphalt and debris, operating power tools, and smoothing out the asphalt. Asphalt Rakers must also inspect their work for any irregularities, and make sure the asphalt is properly prepared for the next step in the paving process.

  • Spreading, leveling, and compacting asphalt to precise specifications for smooth and durable road surfaces.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed properly.
  • Dependable & reliable.
  • The Asphalt Raker must also be able to follow safety protocols and demonstrate a good working knowledge of safety procedures.
  • The Asphalt Raker must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Working safely is a condition of employment.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 1 years experience.
