Are you ready to be part of an organization dedicated to uplifting communities and improving the well-being of all? At Evangel Hall Mission, we're passionate about combating poverty and homelessness through supportive services and advocacy. Are you someone who is looking to make a difference in the world? Then this may be the career opportunity you’ve been waiting for!

Our Administrator will play a vital role in providing administrative support in finance, fundraising, and office management. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to fulfill our mission and serve the community effectively.

Founded in 1913, Evangel Hall Mission (ehm) is a multi-service agency that provides support to people who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. We offer hot meals, showers, laundry facilities and respite from the elements through our Drop In Centre. Drop In participants can access spiritual care, volunteer and employment opportunities, and voluntary financial trusteeship from ehm staff. They can also access a range of supports from community partners through the Drop In, such as Narcotics Anonymous, vaccine clinics, nursing care, legal clinics, programs offered by Toronto Public Health and many more. ehm is also home to over 160 individuals and families, living in our two subsidised apartment buildings.

We are looking for an Administrator to join our team who cares about the same things. As a team we value non-judgmental acceptance, honouring commitments, transparency, continuous learning, accountability, and collaboration. If this speaks directly to you, then consider joining our team!

What you would bring to the role:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of recent relevant experience, preferably in a not-for-profit, or broader public sector environment.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures, including financial, records and information management.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self-management, accountability and flexibility/adaptability.
  • Flexible team player with ability to collaborate and support others in the achievement of results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Understand and welcome diversity
  • Computer literacy and proficiency utilizing MS Office software applications.
  • Excellent detail orientation, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to complete a high volume of work with accuracy and within prescribed deadlines in a fast pace, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of NewViews accounting software is an asset.

How you would know you are a good fit:

· Your work ethos demonstrates non-judgmental acceptance, honouring commitments, transparency, continuous learning, accountability, and collaboration.

· You demonstrate personal excellence and honesty, exhibiting the highest standards of commitment and responsibility.

· You enjoy collaborating with others to support achievement of positive results

What we would offer (a more detailed job description will be provided when invited to interview for the role):

You will work 37.5 hours per week, Mondays to Friday.

You will be based out of 552 Adelaide St West in downtown Toronto.

A competitive annual salary within the range of $40,000 to $50,000, which will be determined based on your experience.

An excellent benefits package including:

· 15 paid vacation days,

· 10 paid sick days,

· A stipend in lieu of payment of benefits due to the contract nature of the employment,

· Professional development support,

· Free parking,

· Early finish on Fridays during summer months.
