Full job description

White Lake Limited Partnership is a wholly owned business of Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg and operates under the governance of the Board of Directors of its general partner, White Lake Resources Corporation. The organization is dedicated to creating sustainable economic opportunities, employment and revenue for the community through strategic partnerships, responsible business practices, and respect for the community’s values and land.
White Lake Limited Partnership is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Chief Executive Officer to guide the organization through its next stage of development and growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader who understands the unique opportunities and dynamics of working with First Nations, Indigenous leadership, governance boards, community members and industry partners. The successful candidate will combine strong business judgement with cultural awareness, relationship-building skills and the ability to translate strategic priorities into meaningful results.
This is a full-time executive position requiring the successful candidate’s exclusive professional focus. While there may be flexibility regarding the geographic location of the successful candidate, regular presence and meaningful engagement with the organisation and community will be an important part of the role.

YOUR DAY TO DAY
  • Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to establish and advance the organization’s strategic direction.
  • Translate the organization’s business plan into clear priorities, measurable goals and practical actions.
  • Provide leadership and oversight across operations, finance, human resources and business development.
  • Support organizational stability by building trust, strengthening the management team and helping employees navigate change.
  • Identify and pursue new economic development, contracting and partnership opportunities that generate sustainable revenue and employment.
  • Oversee existing contracts, joint ventures, partnerships and business activities.
  • Provide executive oversight for projects, ensuring that timelines, financial expectations and contractual commitments are effectively managed.
  • Support opportunities arising from Impact Benefit Agreements, labour service agreements and relationships with regional industries.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with First Nation leadership, community members, industry partners, customers, contractors and government representatives.
  • Provide the Board with regular financial and operational reports, forecasts, recommendations and performance updates.
  • Oversee annual budgeting, financial planning, capital investments and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the organization operates in accordance with applicable governance, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Support the future development and undertaking of an organizational review and/or identify opportunities to strengthen the organizational structure, leadership capacity and operational effectiveness.
  • Foster an inclusive, accountable and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the senior management team.
  • Represent the organization in negotiations, business discussions, community engagements and external meetings.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Experience working with Indigenous organizations, First Nations or communities is strongly preferred, together with a demonstrated understanding of Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg, the Northwestern Ontario region, the Robinson Superior Treaty area, and the economic development opportunities, partnerships and regional relationships that support long-term community prosperity.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive senior leadership experience, ideally in economic development, business operations or corporate leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, financial management, business development and operational leadership.
  • Experience overseeing projects, contracts, joint ventures or strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and experience working collaboratively with a Board of Directors.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage change and strengthen organizational performance.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with sound judgement and integrity.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
  • An opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the economic growth and long-term success of the community.
  • A senior leadership role with the ability to shape strategy, strengthen partnerships and advance new business opportunities.
  • Competitive executive compensation starting at $150,000.
  • Performance-based incentive opportunity.
  • Comprehensive group benefits and RRSP program.
  • Generous vacation and time-off provisions that support a healthy work-life balance.
  • Some flexibility regarding geographic location may be considered. However, the CEO position is a full-time leadership role, and the successful candidate will be expected to remain fully committed to the organization while maintaining regular and meaningful engagement with the community and key stakeholders.

We are committed to creating an inclusive, accessible workplace in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Accommodations are available upon request for candidates during all aspects of the recruitment and selection process. If you require accommodation, please contact us at felicia.scaviarupi@mnp.ca to discuss your needs.
