The Opportunity

Sea Centric is hiring a Shop Superintendent to lead the day-to-day operations of its Industrial Division, including machining, fabrication, welding, and marine mechanical services.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and is motivated to drive operational excellence, modernize processes, and support business growth.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and oversee shop operations across machining, fabrication, welding, and marine services
  • Drive modernization initiatives and continuous improvement across all functions
  • Develop and refine operational processes aligned with company objectives
  • Support estimating, costing, and bid preparation across industrial, offshore, and government projects
  • Ensure high standards of quality control and compliance with safety programs (including COR)
  • Lead, mentor, and develop trades, supervisors, and technical teams
  • Oversee recruitment, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners
  • Support long-term planning and growth strategies for the division

What You Bring:

  • Experience in industrial, marine, manufacturing, or related technical environments
  • Proven leadership experience managing operations, teams, and budgets
  • Strong technical understanding of machining, welding, fabrication, or mechanical services
  • Experience with estimating and costing, including government tenders
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • A results-driven mindset with strong business acumen and customer focus
