Full job description

FFAW-Unifor is seeking a Membership Administrator for a maternity leave coverage. Reporting to the Office Manager, this position will be responsible to update and maintain the membership database including entry of dues, processing insurance claims, issue statements and participate in mailouts.

Responsibilities:

· Administer all aspects of the FFAW|Unifor membership database

· Collect and record dues payment

· Maintain membership lists and information

· Issue statements and membership cards

· Lead membership mailouts

· Generate arrears collection reports for inshore/industrial companies and update such reports during the collection season.

· Maintaining all excel spreadsheets reports pertaining to caplin, cod grading, arrears collection, etc.

· Generate reports for management regarding membership information.

· Administer all aspects of insurance claims from approval, to administering forms to families and the insurance companies, as well the collection of beneficiary nomination forms.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a quality of work and an incredible attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a proven ability to clearly explain complex issues
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision as part of a larger collaborative effort

Pay: From $62,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
