About us

Swagelok Grande Prairie is a division of Southern Alberta Fluid System Technologies Inc. that provides Swagelok services, products and components for Oil and Gas, Power, Pulp and Paper and many other industries.

Swagelok Grande Prairie is seeking an energetic, flexible team player ready to help industrial customers, solve their fluid system needs. An ideal candidate will leverage technology, innovative thinking, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills to support customers, fellow associates, and the company achieve strategic goals.

Dedicated to outstanding customer service, the Swagelok Grande Prairie business structure is organized to respond swiftly to the fast-changing needs of customers and their industries. Our team focuses on developing cost effective solutions for our customers and to set the standard for all suppliers in our industry.

The successful candidate will work in person our location Swagelok Grande Prairie and report directly to the Customer Service Manager.

Job Functions:

a) Customer Service

  • Answering customer queries in person, by phone, or electronic means concerning product availability, pricing of products and shipping options.
  • Support our customer base by providing quotations and processing orders in our SAP B1 system
  • Support the daily transactional work in customer service, accounting, and supply chain (all quote to cash processes) as needed
  • Compliance with customer requirements.
  • Maintain communication with Swagelok Grande Prairie regarding any customer queries, which cannot be answered immediately.
  • Stay up to date with local business news and relay relevant information to Swagelok Grande Prairie and the Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Actively engage with continuous improvement education & training and professional/personal development in alignment with company programs and use technology to find ways to streamline and improve work processes

b) Perform duties as required by management.

Education:

  • Minimum: High School Diploma

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Proficiency using internet and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
  • Data entry
  • Aptitude for learning new software MRP/ERP system (enterprise resource planning) such as SAP and accounting software is required
  • Understanding of commercial customer ordering processes is desirable, including purchase orders and understanding terms and conditions
  • Basic knowledge of quality systems/process standards is desirable
  • Solid working knowledge of standard business practices and protocols is desirable

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, work at a desk and on the computer continuously. Regular use of phone and standard office equipment, also assisting walk in customers.
