Prasana Medical Center is a new, busy urban family practice clinic in Winnipeg, Manitoba with locations in the North and South end of the city. We are committed to providing comprehensive primary care from a collaborative team-based approach. Other clinical health care services offered include Pedorthics, Kinesiology, Psychotherapy and Medical Aesthetics. Position Summary
Prasana Medical Center is actively seeking a compassionate, motivated Family Physician to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible providing continuous primary care to a diverse panel of patients—both long-term and walk-in. Duties associated with a family practice include diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients, act as the primary care provider and provide continuous care toward the management of patients’ health. This includes—but is not limited to—prenatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric care. Grow your practice with a passionate team in a beautiful, new private clinic!
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a patient panel and daily walk-in appointments; providing primary care, chronic disease management and urgent care.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging and diagnostic procedures.
- Provide counselling on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including other Physicians, Clinical Assistants, Specialists and Primary Care Assistants.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records using EMR.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an approved medical school program, with a Family Medicine Residency Completion (CCFP).
- Licensure: Eligible for registration with or registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM).
- Experience: Previous experience in primary care and walk-in settings is an asset.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, episodic and chronic patient care.
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage: $200 per hour or Fee for Service Agreement (maximum 8 hours per day)
- Rent / Overhead: Low clinic overhead rates (negotiable)
- Flexibility: Flexible scheduling options, including part-time options available
