Job Summary

The Foreman Assistant supports the daily operations of elevator interior manufacturing by assisting the Foreman in overseeing project tasks, ensuring team coordination, and maintaining workflow efficiency. This role plays a critical part in ensuring fabrication and installation meet Premier Elevator’s high standards of quality and precision.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This person will support team communication, assist with material handling, and track progress to help meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Foreman in coordinating daily production and warehouse activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
  • Support team management by supervising staff, including order picking, packaging, and equipment operations
  • Maintain accurate records, including inventory levels, shipment logs, and process documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes and implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including heavy lifting procedures and forklift operation standards
  • Use computer skills to prepare reports and presentations with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Facilitate communication between team members and management to promote a positive work environment and efficient workflow

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising or team management experience in manufacturing
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate equipment like forklifts (certification preferred)
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management and process improvement
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers
  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques for process improvement initiatives in manufacturing or distribution settings
