About the role: You will be responsible for optimizing purchasing activities, monitoring inventory levels and supporting supplier performance. This is a key strategic role within the supply chain team that involves close collaboration with various teams including Product Management, Logistics and Customer Service.
Responsibilities:
Buying and Sourcing Strategy:
- Manage daily domestic and international purchasing requirements across multiple locations
- Use MRP/DRP tools to align purchasing demand forecasts and planning, continuously adapting inventory levels based on real-time demand and supply fluctuations
- Maintain accuracy of purchase order data to ensure continuity and efficiency across the supply chain
- Collaborate with internal teams on costing projects and sourcing inquiries
Inventory Optimization:
- Monitor and improve inventory performance of stock items
- Manage inventory levels including internal transfers between all locations
- Identify and address excess stock, slow-moving and obsolete inventory
- Analyze the costing structure of all landed material and the variables related to the average costing
- Assess and collaborate to drive change initiatives that improve cost savings and inventory turn over
Supplier Management:
- Work closely with current vendors and assist in price negotiations, rebate programs, terms, lead times and MOQ’s
- Track open orders and take proactive steps to expedite or resolve delays before they impact the desired delivery date
- Actively resolve supplier-related issues regarding product availability, service, quality, claims and pricing issues
- Help establish key performance metrics regarding on time delivery, quality standards and compliance
Other Contributions:
- Support strategic improvement projects within the supply chain team
- Take ownership of supply chain reporting by running reports, summarizing key findings and presenting actionable insights to drive optimized inventory purchasing decisions
What you bring to the role:
- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain roles ideally in manufacturing or distribution
- BCom or college diploma in business or materials management an asset
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Proven multitasking abilities, detail oriented and the ability to manage tight timelines
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Knowledge of ERP system and DRP/MRP software
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Strong English speaking and writing, French an asset

· Assurer l’exactitude des données des bons de commande afin de garantir la continuité et l’efficacité de la chaîne d’approvisionnement
· Collaborer avec les équipes internes sur les projets de calcul des coûts et les demandes d’approvisionnement
Optimisation des stocks :
· Surveiller et améliorer la performance des stocks
· Gérer les niveaux de stock, y compris les transferts internes entre tous les sites
· Identification et gestion des stocks excédentaires, à rotation lente et obsolètes
· Analyse de la structure de coûts de tous les matériaux livrés et des variables liées au coût moyen
· Évaluation et collaboration pour piloter des initiatives de changement qui améliorent les économies de coûts et la rotation des stocks
Gestion des fournisseurs :
· Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les fournisseurs actuels et participer aux négociations de prix, programmes de remises, conditions, délais de livraison et quantités minimales de commande (MOQ)
· Suivre les commandes en cours et prendre des mesures proactives pour accélérer ou résoudre les retards avant qu’ils n’impactent la date de livraison souhaitée
· Résoudre activement les problèmes liés aux fournisseurs concernant la disponibilité des produits, le service, la qualité, les réclamations et les questions de tarification
· Contribuer à l’établissement d’indicateurs de performance clés concernant la ponctualité des livraisons, les normes de qualité et la conformité
Autres contributions :
· Soutenir les projets d’amélioration stratégique au sein de l’équipe de la chaîne d’approvisionnement
· Prendre en charge les rapports de la chaîne d’approvisionnement en produisant des rapports, en résumant les principales conclusions et en présentant des informations exploitables pour optimiser les décisions d’achat des stocks
Ce que vous apportez au poste :
· 3 à 5 ans d’expérience dans les achats ou la chaîne d’approvisionnement, idéalement dans le secteur manufacturier ou la distribution
· Baccalauréat en commerce ou diplôme d’études collégiales en gestion des affaires ou des matériaux, un atout
· Compétences solides en analyse et prise de décisions
· Habiletés multitâches reconnues, être minutieux et capable de gérer des échéanciers serrés
· Excellentes compétences en communication et établissement de relations
· Maîtrise des systèmes PRE et des logiciels de planification des ressources de production (DRP)/planification des besoins en matériel (MRP)
· Maîtrise de Microsoft 365
· Maîtrise de l’anglais (oral et écrit) ; français, un atout
