Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker/Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing products for shipment, utilizing various heavy equipment and warehouse management systems. This role is essential in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, timely order fulfillment, and maintaining safety standards across the facility.
Responsibilities
- Select and pick customer orders accurately using warehouse management systems
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other machinery for loading and unloading goods
- Load and unload products safely, ensuring proper handling of heavy items and materials
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper order picking procedures
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch of orders
- Follow safety protocols during all warehouse activities, including heavy lifting
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflow and efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related fields is an asset
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklift and other industrial tools is an asset but training is avaliable
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
