You will work across functional teams to transform raw data into actionable business insights, support reporting needs, and contribute to data-driven strategies.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:

Python programming skills are highly desirable for advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, and automation tasks. Python's libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Seaborn are widely used in the analytics ecosystem.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, advanced formulas, and VBA scripting for efficient data analysis, reporting, and decision support.
  • Skilled in data cleaning and transformation, including handling missing values, normalizing datasets, addressing outliers, and converting raw or unstructured data into usable formats using tools such as Python, SQL, and Excel.
  • Proficient in data profiling and statistical analysis, with a solid understanding of both descriptive and inferential statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, correlation, variance analysis, and statistical significance testing for accurate data interpretation.
  • Understanding of ETL concepts and data pipelines, including data flow from source to destination and the impact of data transformations on analysis. Familiarity with tools such as Databricks or Microsoft Fabric is considered an asset.
  • Strong ability in data visualization and storytelling, with proficiency in tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Skilled in selecting appropriate chart types, incorporating interactivity, and presenting data-driven insights in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Experience building and maintaining interactive dashboards for monitoring business metrics in near real-time is crucial. Familiarity with tools like Power BI or Tableau is expected.
  • Must employ an AI-first approach, leveraging AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude to enhance analysis, automate routine tasks, and improve efficiency. Experience with prompt engineering and familiarity with AI-assisted features in platforms such as Fabric, Power BI, and Excel, are increasingly valuable. Analysts should also stay informed about emerging AI capabilities and apply them responsibly to augment analytical workflows.
  • Should be familiar with business fundamentals and be able to align data interpretations with business objectives, KPIs, and stakeholder goals to deliver actionable recommendations. In some cases, domain-specific knowledge will be required.
  • Awareness of data privacy requirements, data lineage, and quality assurance processes is important. Analysts should be able to detect and flag issues such as anomalies, inconsistencies, and duplication.
  • Experience with Git or similar tools for maintaining version history of scripts and collaborating with data teams is important.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members and stakeholders. Data analysts must be able to elicit/clarify requirements and convey findings to audiences with varying technical abilities, including non-technical audiences.
WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:
