About the Job:

Our kitchen plays an important role in creating a great experience for guests visiting the mountain. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in preparing quality food, maintains high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and works well with others in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Ensure food is prepared, stored, and handled safely in accordance with food safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and workstation throughout the shift.
• Prepare ingredients and complete basic food preparation to support efficient kitchen operations.
• Monitor food supplies and notify the appropriate team member when stock is running low.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and consistent food preparation and service
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and follow proper procedures when using knives and other cooking tools.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies as required.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist with cleaning duties and other kitchen responsibilities as assigned.

Physical Demands of the Role:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands and arms for food preparation, cooking, plating, and cleaning.
• Bending, reaching, and stooping to access equipment, ingredients, and supplies.
• Lifting and carrying pots, pans, food supplies, and other kitchen materials as required.
• Working in a warm environment near ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Safely handling knives, hot cookware, and other kitchen tools and equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant, commercial kitchen, or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food quality and consistency.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established kitchen procedures.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays, as required
