Pacific Apex Industrial is growing and we’re looking for an experienced Lead Industrial Mechanic / Millwright to join our team.

We specialize in industrial maintenance, breakdown response, shutdown execution, capital projects, and facility upgrades across Western Canada with a primary focus in grain handling, processing, agriculture, and heavy industrial facilities.

This role is for someone who wants more than turning wrenches. We’re looking for a hands-on leader that can own work scopes, support crews, build relationships with customers, and help deliver projects safely and efficiently.

Position Overview

As a Lead Industrial Mechanic / Millwright, you will:

  • Lead mechanical maintenance, shutdown work, and installation scopes at industrial facilities
  • Perform troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, and commissioning
  • Coordinate labour, equipment, and materials to execute work efficiently
  • Install, align, dismantle, and service industrial equipment to manufacturer specifications
  • Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and equipment documentation
  • Support rigging, lifting, and safe equipment handling practices
  • Complete field reports, inspections, and project documentation
  • Work alongside welding, fabrication, and construction crews where required
  • Mentor apprentices and help develop junior team members
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service

Qualifications

  • Industrial maintenance and/or project experience in heavy industrial environments
  • Millwright certification preferred (Journeyman considered an asset)
  • Apprentices with strong industrial experience encouraged to apply
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
  • Experience with conveyors, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, drives, rotating equipment, and bulk material handling systems
  • Comfortable leading crews and coordinating field activities
  • Welding experience and/or CWB considered an asset (SMAW All Position)
  • Experience in grain handling, processing, food, or agriculture industries considered a strong asset.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
  • Safety tickets including CSTS, First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space.
