CNC Press Brake Operator

A well-established metal fabrication company in Central Alberta is seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Press Brake Operator to join its production team.

This position is suited to an experienced operator who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and can confidently manage machine setup, tooling selection, and forming operations with minimal supervision.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up and operate CNC press brakes independently
  • Select and install the appropriate tooling for each job
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications
  • Form parts accurately according to required dimensions and tolerances
  • Set up and operate plate rolls as required
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and conformance
  • Safely handle, move, and organize steel and fabricated components
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Complete routine machine checks and basic maintenance
  • Identify and troubleshoot forming or equipment issues
  • Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and production team members to meet scheduling requirements
  • Assist with other fabrication tasks and projects as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience operating CNC press brakes
  • Minimum three years of experience in metal fabrication or a related environment
  • Strong blueprint and drawing interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of press brake tooling, machine setup, and forming processes
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift; certification is considered an asset
  • Experience operating overhead cranes is considered an asset
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
