Job Summary

Reporting to the Shop Supervisors, the CNC Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, operating and maintaining the CNC Laser.

Duties:

  • Program and set up the CNC laser cutting machine.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and similar software.
  • Read work orders and tag products as required.
  • Read and interpret drawings and/or blueprints.
  • Check material thickness for accuracy and load material.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Load programs, set machine parameters and proper fixtures to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
  • Perform dimensional inspections.
  • Monitor cutting operation.
  • Use various inspecting techniques.
  • Assess cut pieces for quality and prepare product for delivery.
  • Clean up and maintain the immediate work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Conduct safety checks on equipment and daily maintenance in compliance with safety standards.

Schedule:

Afternoon Shift 2:30pm – 12:30 am Mon- Thurs & Fridays 2:30pm – 7:30pm

Additional pay:

  • Overtime pay after 44 hours at time and a half
