This is more than a marketing role—it's an opportunity to influence the future of one of Canada's most respected premium food brands. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll own the journey from consumer insight and product ideation through commercialization and market success, connecting brand strategy, innovation, product management, and consumer engagement into one powerful growth engine.

What You'll Do

Build and Elevate Our Brand

  • Lead the evolution of Freybe's brand strategy, positioning, and long-term architecture.
  • Champion our heritage of quality and craftsmanship while ensuring the brand remains relevant to today's consumers.
  • Ensure consistent and impactful brand execution across packaging, digital, retail, foodservice, and experiential channels.
  • Develop and maintain brand standards, guidelines, and governance practices.

Drive Consumer Engagement

  • Create and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, retail, and experiential platforms.
  • Lead media strategy across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Develop compelling content, promotions, partnerships, and innovation stories that connect with consumers.
  • Measure campaign effectiveness and continuously optimize performance and ROI.

Lead Product Innovation & Commercialization

  • Own the full product lifecycle from concept to launch, optimization, renovation, and retirement.
  • Translate consumer insights into successful products and market opportunities.
  • Develop product positioning, target audiences, and value propositions across channels.
  • Lead cross-functional commercialization efforts through our Stage Gate process.
  • Ensure new product launches are on time, on brand, and operationally ready.
  • Drive portfolio health through strategic SKU management, rationalization, and growth planning.

Leverage Consumer & Category Insights

  • Lead consumer, category, and shopper research across retail and foodservice channels.
  • Identify emerging trends, growth opportunities, and innovation white space.
  • Ensure data and insights inform business decisions across marketing, sales, and innovation.

Inspire and Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a talented marketing team.
  • Manage agency relationships, external partners, and marketing budgets.
  • Establish clear KPIs and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

What You Bring

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
  • Food industry or premium brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building, growing, and scaling brands.
  • Experience leading product innovation and commercialization initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and U.S. retail, foodservice, and distributor channels is an asset.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, R&D, QA, and Finance.
