Overview
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and motivated Legal Assistant/Paralegal eager to advance their professional career. The position requires a professional with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in legal software and research tools. We are seeking an individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is committed to delivering results. The role requires flexibility to seamlessly switch between tasks while meeting deadlines and the capacity to exercise sound judgment when necessary. Responsibilities

  • Assist lawyers with all stages of litigation, but specifically during discovery and trial preparation
  • Draft, revise, and format legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, briefs, and correspondence
  • Manage and organize electronic and physical files, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate document production, including review, indexing, and filing of materials
  • Prepare and manage court filings, including e-filing when applicable
  • Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and third-party service providers
  • Assist with trial preparation, including preparation of exhibits, witness lists, and trial briefs
  • Support billing processes, including time entry and file-related disbursement tracking

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Legal Assistant program is preferred (equivalent training and experience will be considered for a suitable candidate)
  • 5 or more years of prior experience working as a litigation legal assistant/paralegal
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills with the ability to create and foster professional relationships
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking and make decisions based on sound judgment
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Proactive and resourceful
