We’re currently seeking a motivated and reliable Quality Control Inspector - Entry Level to join our dynamic Facilities Team in Airdrie, Alberta.

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable Full-Time Quality Control Inspector to join our team in an existing position in Airdrie, Alberta. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in quality assurance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a member of our Quality team, you will play a key role in ensuring that all incoming and outgoing products meet our high standards for quality, safety, and compliance. Working closely with the Quality Control Supervisor, you will support daily inspection activities, maintain accurate quality records, and contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine quality inspections on incoming, in-process, and outgoing products
  • Identify and document quality defects, damage, or non-conformances
  • Record inspection data accurately using paper or electronic forms
  • Verify product specifications such as size, weight, appearance, and labeling
  • Monitor sanitation, handling, and storage conditions
  • Report quality issues to supervisors promptly
  • Assist with basic corrective actions and re-inspection processes
  • Follow all food safety, health, and safety procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized inspection areas

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Ability to follow written procedures and instructions
  • Basic math and record-keeping skills
  • Comfortable working in warehouse or production environments
  • Comfortable operating FLT and Power Jack
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift 33 lbs/16 kg consistently – 50lbs Occasionally
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or evenings if required

Preferred Skills & Assets:

  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Familiarity with food safety principles (GMPs, HACCP)
  • Experience with inspections, audits, or production environments (asset, not required)
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, tablets, inspection forms)
  • Strong communication skills

Training Provided:

  • On-the-job QC training
  • Food safety and quality procedures
  • Inspection standards and defect identification
  • Documentation and reporting practices

Physical & Sensory Requirements:

Strength Guidelines

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Able to life 33 lbs. repetitively.

Motion Parameter

  • Sitting / Driving / Walking.

Vision and Hearing Requirements

  • Be able to read H & S signage. Be able to hear vehicle horns.
  • Some computer work required.

  • Problem solving
