Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain proper files for projects, providing reports and updates to colleagues, customers & vendors, as required
- Process incoming customer orders and create corresponding vendor purchase orders
- Prepare and submit shop/submittal drawings for approval
- Review returned approval drawings, ensuring accuracy on all details
- Process all incoming customer purchase orders and generate corresponding purchase orders to vendors
- Track and expedite vendor orders for shipping
- Process add/delete prices on change orders
- Communicate delivery information and project updates to vendors, customers, clients and colleagues
- Follow-up on all ‘on hold’ orders to ensure prompt release of items on order
- Provide basic technical support to customers and contractors
- Create and maintain positive relationships with manufacturers and clients
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of our industry and products
Preferred qualifications;
- College or University education.
- 2-5 years in a customer service and/or project coordinator role.
- Experience in the lighting industry would be a definite asset.
- Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, and other related construction documents would be a definite asset.
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, with superior telephone etiquette.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to self-manage and work within deadlines, with a high level of emphasis placed on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Resourceful, flexible, reliable and hardworking.
