Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fabrication Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all fabricated components meet strict quality standards through precise inspection and data analysis. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality production processes and uphold our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. Candidates should possess strong quality management skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers. Prior experience in quality control, manufacturing, or QA/QC is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of fabricated parts and assemblies to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to assess dimensions and tolerances accurately.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections at various stages of the fabrication process to ensure defect-free products.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection results, non-conformance reports, and quality documentation for audit purposes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on process improvements related to quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Fabrication Inspector or Quality Inspector in a metal fabrication environment
  • Familiarity with common welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) and weld inspection
  • Experience using precision measuring tools
  • Valid CWB Visual Welding Inspector certification considered a strong asset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with internal auditing or ISO documentation
  • Level 1 or 2 NDT certifications (MT, PT, UT) an asset
  • Trade background (Welder, Millwright, or Machinist) is highly valued
  • Welding Engineering Tech. Post Secondary Grads
