Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialty, notably:

Other Requirements:
- Fluent in both French and English, written and oral
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact positively with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Have experience working with a variety of agencies and community groups.

Nature of the work
The Community Learning Centre (CLC) Project Development Officer is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and coordination of a Community Learning Centre (CLC) serving two to four schools. There are currently two positions available:
- Verdun CLC, supporting Verdun Elementary School, Riverview Elementary School and Beurling Academy.
- Pierrefonds CLC, supporting Springdale Elementary School, Sunshine Academy and Kingsdale Academy.
Please note that assigned locations and partner schools are subject to change based on organizational and operational needs.
The position of project development officer encompasses, in particular, responsibility for research, analysis and development of activities based on a particular theme, such as community relations, prevention of violence and substance abuse, analysis of business training needs, organizational development, development of technological support and review of administrative procedures. The project development officer ensures the planning, coordination and delivery of an action plan related to a theme calling on the internal and external resources of the school board.
Characteristic functions
The project development officer participates in the implementation and update of the school board’s strategic plan on a theme for which he or she is responsible; where applicable, he or she becomes familiar with various programs concerning the project to which he or she is assigned, assesses their pertinence, informs those involved of them and simplifies their implementation. He or she analyzes the needs of the community, identifies available resources within and outside the network, consults resources, prepares an action plan, informs management staff of services and educational institutions, and formulates recommendations.
Daily Tasks/Dossiers
- Coordinating, overseeing and managing a range of stakeholders, including community partners, employees, volunteers and interns on multiple sites. Surveying and assessing school and community needs and assets.
- Developing, coordinating and overseeing ongoing activities as well as developing special projects. This may include special pedagogical projects in classrooms, community engagement projects, lunchtime and after school activities, evening workshops for parents and families and summer projects with community partners. This includes managing all communications and promotion for projects and activities as well as registration processes.
- Writing and administering grants (i.e. Centraide, Entrepreneurship, Pearson Educational Foundation, Quebec en Forme, School yard improvement, Jeunes Actifs, Ēcole Montréalais, Forum Jeunesse de l'île de Montréal, Inter-Action, RBC After School Projects, Keno Quebec, National Bank, One for Youth Grant etc.) for the CLC and schools in collaboration with school staff and community partners.
- Participate in committees and tables such as governing board, PPO, Home and School, CDSV, partnership tables (LBPSB and of other CLC partners). Meetings are held both during the day and evening.
