Description
Are you an Experienced Operator looking for steady work on a large scale project? We are currently seeking versatile and reliable Equipment Operators to join our team on the Teck Greenfield Project. This role requires experienced operators who can float between multiple types of equipment, supporting a variety of construction and site operations. Essential Responsibilities:
-
Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment including, Skid Steers, Rock Trucks, Telehandlers, Dozers, Backhoes, Excavators
-
Perform excavation, backfilling, grading, and material hauling as required
-
Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition
-
Step in on general construction tasks when needed—team-first mindset
-
Operate in crowded, fast-paced working environments, and exercises extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety.
-
Interpret verbal and non-verbal communication (including hand signals) from ground personnel and Labourers, and acts accordingly.
-
Adhere to all project and Ledcor policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
-
Maintain clean and organized equipment
-
Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition
-
Perform light maintenance and minor repairs (greasing, fluid checks, basic troubleshooting)
Requirements:
-
Proven experience operating multiple types of construction equipment
-
Experience with excavation, backfill and hauling operations
-
Valid Drivers License
-
Must complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
-
Prior mine or heavy civil construction experience and asset
-
Strong understanding of grading and reading site plans or elevations
Work Conditions:
-
Work schedule 14 on, 7 off, 10 hours per day
-
Living out allowance provided
-
Work in all weather conditions
-
Weekly payment of wages
-
Extended health benefits provided by CLAC
-
Locals to Merrit and Kamloops will be given priority
Compensation
$35.17 - $54.11 per hourThis is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.
Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
