The Synthetic Turf Co. is currently recruiting for a GENERAL LABOURER for our Edmonton, AB location.

At The Synthetic Turf Co. we offer so much more than just beautiful artificial grass! We offer our customers a new experience that allows them to enjoy a low maintenance yard, instead of breaking their backs, and banks, to get a perfect, lush lawn. Our synthetic turf looks like the real thing so that instead of spending your time and money watering, mowing, and otherwise slaving away to have the most beautiful lawn on the block, you can relax and appreciate your outdoor space.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a General Labourer for different locations in Edmonton and surrounding areas. Employee to work from now to October 31 – weather dependent.

Here are a few attributes you will require to be successful in this position:

  • Landscape maintenance which include the Golf Course areas and other green space on the property
  • Day-to-day turf care management and maintenance
  • Equipment operation
  • Can drive truck & trailer/Flat deck truck
  • Provide assistance to other crew members as required
  • Ensure proper personal protective equipment is used at all required times and is in proper working order (e.g.: steel toed boots)
  • Any other related work duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated ability to interact very positively with others with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism
  • Able to work effectively with individuals with diverse background and knowledge, i.e., clients, contractors, vendors, other designers)
  • MUST have a clean driver’s license and driver's abstract.
  • Work in Edmonton and surrounding areas - Travel might be necessary
  • Demonstrated competency in using property maintenance equipment
  • Commitment to demonstrate high-quality workmanship, efficient production and exceed safety requirements
  • Clean and professional appearance, punctual, and dependable
  • Previous experience operating riding lawnmowers, push lawnmowers, string trimmers, bobcats and tractors is considered an asset
  • Ability to lift upwards of 25kg (50lbs)
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work outdoors for long periods
  • Willingness to work in varying working conditions
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Meet desired production rates, quality control, and safety measures.
  • Assist in meeting or exceeding job time and material targets
  • Follow and model the values and culture of the organization

Hours vary from Monday – Sunday 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. Wage will be discussed depending on Experience).
