We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Scheduler in our Fort McKay location for rotating sets of 14 days on and 14 days off and 12-hour shifts.

The Job:

We are seeking a strong self-starter who is motivated, committed and wants to grow with us. The Maintenance Scheduler generates an executable schedule for all maintenance activities and assets maintained by Heavy Metal in collaboration with supervisors, coordinators, account managers, trades people and the planning group utilizing all available resources, planned backlog and best practices.

The individual in this position will enjoy a collaborative role as they will work closely with the maintenance teams, supply chain and operations with the ability to forecast 6 weeks ahead.

As a Maintenance Scheduler YOU will:

  • Develop and coordinate the schedule for maintenance activities for all assets maintained by Heavy Metal, aligning corrective maintenance with the PM service to maximize maintenance activities and minimize downtime
  • Manage the schedule, with a 6 week lookahead, by accurately updating unit hours or kms
  • Review the schedule, at the beginning and end of the week, with all necessary departments to confirm manpower, lead time of parts and the availability of each unit
  • Transition all schedules and plans smoothly to maintenance for execution
  • Manage the content and quality of the PM Status Sheet and regulatory forecast sheet
  • Calculate and provide weekly reports on asset utilization
  • Process all PM documents, on/off rent forms and component replacement forms
  • Forecast, build, update, maintain and confirm weekly schedules
  • Lead weekly meetings for scheduling, lockdowns and reviews
  • Build, manage and maintain a weekly KPI reports and other reports as required
  • Develop relationships with internal customers to maintain communication and flow of information
