Overview

Kumama Bistro is a Chef-driven, ingredient-led experience using influence from our International guest and own travels. No Program. Just good food and booze.

The Bistro is located at the main building of Pine Bungalows Resort in Jasper National Park.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to support chefs and kitchen staff
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen surfaces through efficient dishwashing and sanitation practices
  • Support the cooking process by preparing basic menu items under supervision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
  • Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and hygiene procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
  • Keep the kitchen organized by restocking supplies, managing waste disposal, and maintaining a tidy workspace
  • Support serving staff during busy periods by delivering prepared items promptly and assisting with plating when needed
  • Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for everyone

Experience

  • Previous food service experience or restaurant work is required
  • Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety standards
  • Experience in meal preparation or cooking
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
