LKQ Canada is looking for a dedicated and passionate delivery driver with knowledge of replacement parts for the collision repair industry. The successful candidate must have one (1) year driving and warehouse experience with an excellent driving record. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for operating a company vehicle (up to an 18-foot cube truck with a tail lift) to deliver products to customers. They will also be required to manually load and unload the delivery truck, verify that all parts are loaded and unloaded, collect payments from customers, obtain signatures from receiving locations confirming accuracy of parts received, and deliver returned items back to the branch.

Starting salary at 21$/h (based on experience)

What are your responsibilities as a Delivery Driver?

  • Complete all required safety checks and maintenance validations for your company vehicle (up to an 18-foot cube truck with a tail lift). All company vehicles are equipped with telematics cameras,
  • Operate the company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner,
  • Physically load the company truck at the branch and verify the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the deliveries to be made,
  • At delivery destination, confirm order with customer, unload and verify product, obtain confirmation signature and payment from customer,
  • Make proper notations on the manifest and provide receipts on parts being returned from customers to the branch,
  • Collect accounts receivable, as necessary,
  • Work in such a manner as to prevent shortages and damage to products, and
  • Assume other duties as assigned.

What is the profile we are looking for?

  • Minimum one (1) year driving and warehouse operations experience,
  • Possess a valid G driver's license and safe driving record,
  • Knowledge of replacement parts for the collision repair industry desired,
  • Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with the Company's warehouse and delivery methods, techniques, and procedures,
  • Possess the ability to perform basic math calculations, effectively communicate with customers/peers/supervisors, and proficiently use smartphone and/or tablet, and
  • Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments.

Job Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of replacement parts for the collision repair industry. Proficiency with smartphone and/or tablet to navigate mobile applications. Possess the ability to perform basic math calculations and effectively communicate on an interpersonal verbal basis.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing and ascending/descending stairs. Requires sitting for relatively long periods of time, while driving. It also requires frequent bending, climbing, movement and lifting of up to 75 pounds during physical loading/unloading of trucks and when stocking products.
