Position Summary

The Account Manager – Floral Market is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of wholesale floral accounts while delivering exceptional customer service. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers and works closely with internal teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment, product availability, and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will build strong client relationships, identify opportunities for business growth, provide product expertise, and support customers through seasonal and event-driven purchasing cycles.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Management

· Manage and maintain relationships with existing wholesale floral customers, including retail florists, event planners, grocery retailers, and other floral buyers.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, product recommendations, and service-related matters.

· Develop a thorough understanding of customer needs and purchasing patterns to provide proactive support and solutions.

· Maintain regular communication with customers to strengthen relationships and ensure satisfaction.

Business Development

· Identify and pursue opportunities to expand sales within existing accounts.

· Develop new customer relationships and support the growth of the company’s customer base.

· Promote seasonal programs, new product offerings, and value-added services.

· Support sales initiatives designed to increase revenue and market share.

Order Management & Customer Service

· Coordinate customer orders from initial request through delivery.

· Ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on schedule.

· Work collaboratively with purchasing, operations, logistics, and warehouse teams to support customer requirements.

· Address and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.

· Maintain a high level of customer service and responsiveness.

Product & Market Support

· Provide guidance on floral products, seasonal availability, pricing, and market trends.

· Assist customers with planning for key seasonal periods, holidays, weddings, and special events.

· Stay informed about industry developments and customer preferences to support sales efforts.

Reporting & Administration

· Maintain accurate customer records and activity within the CRM system.

· Prepare sales forecasts, account updates, and performance reports.

· Monitor account activity and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

· Support management with market intelligence and customer feedback.

Industry Representation

· Attend customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows as required.

· Represent the company professionally and promote our products and services within the floral marketplace.

Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years of experience in account management, sales, customer service, or a related role.

· Experience within the floral, horticulture, fresh produce, perishables, or wholesale distribution industry is considered an asset.

· Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

· Self-motivated with a strong customer-service orientation.

· Valid driver's license and ability to travel for customer visits and industry events as required.

Stability & Compensation

· Competitive base salary: $50,000 – $65,000 CAD/year (adjustable based on experience)
