Full job description

Phoenix Restorations is looking to hire a Junior Project Manager. Working out of our Coquitlam location, this position is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the coordination and delivery of the repair phase of our restoration projects.

This includes scope writing, scheduling, reporting and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

You are responsible for efficiently and effectively delivering the highest quality product on time and on budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all work is performed safely according to WorkSafe BC Regulations
  • Deliver impeccable customer service to all Customers and Clients
  • Assess required repairs after mitigation and demolition phase is complete
  • Prepare a detailed scope of required repair work
  • Assist Project Manager with repair estimates
  • Issue work orders to internal and external trades
  • Perform site inspections to ensure delivery of the highest quality of workmanship
  • Ensure the job schedule is maintained and report any variances
  • Provide weekly updates to the Project Management Team
  • Assist Project Team with preparation of invoicing documents
  • Obtain Certificate of Completion
  • Participate in a rotating after hours on call program

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years restoration or construction experience
  • Ability to manage 20 to 50 projects at any given time
  • Management or Supervisor experience an asset
  • Valid BC Drivers License with clean abstract required
  • Clean Criminal Background Check required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of construction processes and procedures
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of WorkSafe BC Regulations
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective time management skills and prioritization of tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions

  • This role works primarily out of Phoenix’s Head Office in Coquitlam
  • Your time will be spent on job sites throughout the Lower Mainland and in the office with working from home 1 day a week an option after probation
  • Company provided PPE must be worn on jobsites as required
  • Employee provided CSA safety footwear must be worn on all jobsites
  • This is a salary position with incentive bonus
  • Some overtime may be required during peak business periods
